The Ha Giang region has a rich culture with many ethnic tribes, including the Hmong and Tai peoples. Every Sunday in Dong Van, just outside Green Karst restaurant, a large market congregates. Ethnic tribes from the neighboring villages will ride into town to showcase their wares. While many of these goods are local favorites, some cannot be found at any market outside of Ha Giang.
